Painting Lambs, Live Demonstration at Finca Oasis
This Sunday I did a live painting demonstration at Finca Oasis, about 30 minutes from Bajo Boquete, up Volcán Barú.
Finca Oasis
The owner of Finca Oasis, Maximo, is more like a brother to me than a friend. The farm used to be only agricultural, but it now it has a canopy, zipline, hotel, coffeeshop, restaurant, and hiking tours. They still have sheep and visitors can pet and feed them.
It feels like another country at Finca Oasis.
My Motivation
Visiting cool mountain areas with beautiful views is my way of recharging my energy.
There’s nothing better than painting in a cool place with a cup of coffee.
I didn’t realize Sunday was Father’s Day, so there were MANY more people than we expected for the low season. The people enjoyed watching me paint and asking me questions. One of the guys came and I let him paint the background. He got to learn and put his brushstrokes into the canvas.
There was a little boy about six who watched me all day, and kept waiting for me to paint the little faces on the sheep. 😅
Here is my progress in one day:
And here is the finished oil painting:

It is currently drying fully (oils take longer) and will be on display at Finca Oasis soon.
